Harvard Club Tahoe Ski/Snowboard Day

Join the Harvard Clubs of Northern Nevada & the Sierra, Silicon Valley, San Francisco and Sacramento and the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California for a joint ski/snowboard day at Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Ski Resorts: https://www.palisadestahoe.com).

Often voted one of North America’s best ski resorts, Palisades Tahoe is known for its world-class terrain, vibrant ski culture, and Olympic heritage as host of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. Palisades Tahoe includes two full ski resorts (the Palisades side and the Alpine side) connected by a base-to-base gondola, and this year weʻll be meeting on the Alpine side to ski/snowboard together. Any participants who wish can take the gondola over to the Palisades side at any time to ski that terrain as well. Our hosted Harvard Club day together is Saturday, but discounted 2-day and 4-day passes are available as well for anyone who wants to spend the full weekend at the resort. Equipment rentals, lessons and even snow tubing are available too.

We will meet up on Saturday morning, January 10th, at the Alpine Base Lodge at 8am before the lifts open for breakfast and to meet each other. We will then divide into groups (beginners, intermediate, advanced) to ski for the morning. Weʻll meet for lunch at the Alpine Base Lodge and then divide into groups again for the afternoon to ski/snowboard.

After skiing, we will meet at nearby River Ranch restaurant with itʻs beautiful views of the Truckee River for Happy Hour at the bar at 5pm and Dinner at 6pm. Of course, Apres ski can begin as early as you like at the Alpine Base Lodge too!

Bring your family and encourage your alumni friends to sign up too for a fun day of skiing/snowboarding together! All ages and all ability levels are welcome!

Cost: $5 per person to participate (not including lift tickets/ rentals/ accommodations/ meals)

Breakfast: buy-your-own and sit with the group at the Alpine Base Lodge

Lunch: buy-your-own and sit with the group at the Alpine Base Lodge

Dinner: $10 per person to reserve, buy-your-own food & drinks at River Ranch

Palisades Tahoe Lift Tickets: pre-arranged discounts through the group. A regular full price adult single day Saturday lift ticket is $289, however we have arranged a group rate of $188. Discounts are available for 2-day and 4-day passes and for child and teen lift tickets, rental equipment, lesson packages, snow tubing and more as well. If you already have a Palisades Tahoe pass or an Ikon pass and would like to register for this event, please register with us and your pass can be used.
