Peninsula Hike: El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve
Trees! Trees! And Tafoni!
Join us for a gorgeous hike full of old growth redwoods and fascinating rock formations on the Tafoni and Fir Trail west of Woodside off Skyline Boulevard. Rated “moderate” because it’s 833 ft. elevation and 4.8 miles. With a few breaks, it should take a bit over 3 hours.
It will be muddy, so wear sturdy shoes. We’re hearing reports of downed trees that you might have to leap over.
You will need a car to get to the trailhead. Unfortunately, no dogs for this one. Bring water, a snack and some good stories! We may get lunch at Alice’s afterwards.
