The Harvard Club of Silicon Valley organizes professional, social, and community service events for 15,000+ Harvard alumni in the greater Silicon Valley area.

Anyone who has been associated with any department at Harvard University for at least one academic term, as a student or instructor is eligible for membership. In addition, parents of undergraduates are encouraged to join both during and after their child’s enrollment.

Featured Event: Tequila 101: Mastery and Mixology

Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May—commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. It can be argued that tequila is the best-known spirit originating from Mexico. It is the bedrock to any rollicking margarita. Even still, many are unfamiliar with tequila origins, are unaware of its many types, and unschooled in tequila’s ties to heritage and culture.
